National Center for Disease Control
The institute, established in 1963, is a centre for providing multi-disciplinary and integrated expertise in the control of communicable disease.

Indian Council of Medical Research
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is a Government-aided body for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research. Its research priorities include control and management of communicable diseases, fertility control, maternal and child health, control of nutritional disorders, development of alternative strategies for health care delivery, research on major non-communicable diseases like cancer, cardiovascular diseases, blindness, diabetes and other metabolic and haematological disorders and mental health research and drug research (including traditional remedies). ICMR's Division of Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases is an active partner of the collaboration.

Department of Animal Husbandry, Ministry of Agriculture
The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (AH&D) – renamed as Department of Animal Husbandry Dairying & Fisheries (DADF) – is responsible for matters relating to livestock production, preservation, protection from disease and improvement of stocks and dairy development, and also for matters relating to the Delhi Milk Scheme and the National Dairy Development Board. It looks at all matters pertaining to fishing and fisheries, inland and marine life. The Department advises the State Governments and Union Territories in formulating policies and programmes in the field of Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries.

Wild Life Institute of India
Established in 1982, Wildlife Institute of India (WII) offers training programmes, academic courses and advisory in wildlife research and management. The institute is actively engaged in research on issues related to biodiversity.

World Health Organization, India
WHO is the United Nations’ specialised agency for health. It is an inter-governmental organisation that works in collaboration with member states, usually through the Ministry of Health. Its objective is the attainment by all people of the highest possible level of health. In India, WHO provides technical assistance while collaborating with Government of India and major stakeholders in health development efforts. It assists notably in policy development; capacity building and advocacy. WHO offers technical assistance to the Government in communicable diseases such as leprosy; malaria, filariasis, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS and International Health Regulations. Communicable Diseases Surveillance and Response cluster of WHO, India also provides technical support to RCZI.

World Health Organization, South-east Asia Regional Office
WHO is the United Nations’ specialised agency for Health. It is an inter-governmental organisation that works in collaboration with member states usually through Ministry of Health. There are 11 Member States in the WHO South-East Asia Region which include Thailand, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, India, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal and Timor-Leste. The Department of Communicable Disease Surveillance and Veterinary Focal Point. It is partners a number of RCZI’s activities and initaitives.

International Livestock Research Institute
Asia International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) works at the crossroads of livestock and poverty, bringing high-quality science and capacity-building to bear on poverty reduction and sustainable development. ILRI works in Africa, Asia and Latin America, with offices in East and West Africa, South and Southeast Asia, China and Central America. ILRI is one of 15 Future Harvest Centres, which conduct food and environmental research to help alleviate poverty and increase food security while protecting the natural resource base. The Centres are funded by government agencies, development banks, private foundations and regional and international organisations and are supported by the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), an association of more than 60 governments and public and private sector institutions. These institutions support a network of 15 agricultural research centres that work to reduce poverty, hunger and environmental degradation in developing countries.

Public Health Foundation of India
The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is a response to redress the limited institutional capacity in India for strengthening training, research and policy development in the area of public health. It is a public private partnership that has collaboratively evolved through consultations with multiple constituencies including Indian and international academia, state and central governments, multi and bi-lateral agencies and civil society groups. Structured as an independent foundation, PHFI adopts a broad, integrative approach to public health, tailoring its endeavours to Indian conditions and bearing relevance to countries facing similar challenges and concerns. PHFI is the major think tank behind the RCZI philosophy. In addition to being a member of the core group along with three North Carolina based institutions, it also coordinates all activities of RCZI.
